On Remembering Days Gone By

phyllisThis week we registered our oldest child for Junior High. Yup, you read that right. I am THAT old. It really has triggered a very cliche, “time flies,” sort of response from me. And as a result, I have found myself looking at old pictures, and remembering days gone by when our kids were even more itty-bitty than they are now.

So, it is in that spirit that I give you today’s throwback post. This is from 2 years ago, when we spent the week leading up to April Fools Day with a very special literary visitor, Phyllis. After you watch the video, you should head on out and pick up a copy of this wonderful book. You won’t be disappointed. Enjoy!

Oh my goodness, Amy! I remember this video from Phyllis’ World Tour! You have the cutest bunch of kids ever! No wonder you’re feeling nostalgic! Thank you so much for the throwback – it was delightful! And your kids are probably the best advertisement Phyllis will ever have 🙂

Oh, your children maybe getting older, but certainly not you! Great video for a wonderful book. I know Susanna is feeling nostalgic too by seeing the video again.

Me oh my, Amy, your kids are the cutest things ever! Thanks for re-posting that.
(Also, my favorite new quote about kids growing up, from a writer named Gretchen Rubin: “The days are long, but the years are short.” :0)
